If we are to stop these things, then one has to be aware how they get this far to begin with - There are some issues with this bill because it will, no doubt, run into the Commerce clause, but before I get there - What really need to happen is that the 17A needs to be repealed - I have begun efforts to do that, but if successful, this puts States back in charge of the Senate.
